For the Season of Advent Year A
Annunciation Psalms and Chants for Advent A includes entrance chants, responsorial psalms, and communion chants for the four Sundays of Advent and the feasts of the Immaculate Conception of Mary and Our Lady of Guadalupe. The music is accessible for congregational participation and uses consistent modes, melodic motives, and chant tones to create an experience of the season. The entrance and communion chants incorporate the antiphon texts, but are composed in the form of responsorial psalms with brief congregational refrains to encourage participation. They have been approved for liturgical use by The Most Reverend David Kagan, Bishop of Bismarck. Parishes or schools may use the set in its entirety or elect to use any of the three (psalms, entrance or communion) as best fit their needs. Samples of each are available for review.
